Graduation is an exciting time for both parents and children. During all of the excitement of the day, it is important to make sure that everyone stays as safe as possible. Following these graduation safety tips can make sure that the day is a joyous event.
- If you child is graduating college, make sure there is a designated driver. Having a designated driver will ensure that everyone arrives to any destination safely. Deciding on a designated driver before any festivities can also help cut down on any anxiety when it comes time to move locations.
- Make sure the car has enough seats. Having a designated driver does not mean everyone is safe if not everyone in the vehicle has a seatbelt. If there are not enough seats, find another designated driver or get a taxi.
- Know the plan. If your child is graduating high school, make sure you know their plan. Get contact information of people they will be with and addresses of any after parties. Make sure the parties are supervised and no alcohol is being served to underage children.
