    Tips to Stay Healthy Throughout Fall

    Use these tips to keep you healthy and happy this autumn.  

    Fall is here! It’s time to dust off those glorious boots and sweaters. Although California isn’t known for its harsh, cold winters, the temperature and season change can have anyone feeling unwell if they aren’t prepared. Avoid feeling under the weather this season by checking out these tips to stay healthy.
    Get moving early. The days are getting shorter, which means that by the time you leave work, it’s dark and you just want to get home. Aim to do your daily exercise in the morning instead so that you stay active and motivated.
    Eat seasonal foods. Pumpkin, broccoli, and apples are all in season, among many other delicious fruits and vegetables. Seasonal food is the best way to get the right nutrients, vitamins, and minerals into your diet, helping you to stay healthy in the fall.
    Fill up on warming meals. Now is the time to batch-make soups and stews! These warming foods help to keep you full and fulfilled, as well as warm you up on those cloudy days.
    Get outside. It’s easy to feel lethargic indoors, especially when it’s overcast outside. Make it a point to go outside for a brisk walk every day to get fresh air, vitamin D, and to improve your mood!
    Boost your immune system. Drink plenty of water and fill up on fresh fruits and vegetables. You may want to consider reviewing your vitamins for the season and taking precautionary probiotics to ward off any ails of autumn.
    Get cozy. It’s not sub-zero temperatures outside, but the weather has certainly cooled down. Remember to take a jacket with you when you’re out and about so you can keep warm and avoid chills.
